New Hampshire Family Photographer | {E & H Family}
Posted on May 18, 2015
I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family on a wonderfully humid fall day in New Hampshire. After some of the family moved across the country, this was their first time visiting home since adding a new member to their family. I thought it was so cool that I was able to photograph the cousins during the visit where they met for the first time! We were pretty much in the peak of foliage season here in New Hampshire, and their property was just stunning with all the yummy fall colors! Just have a look – so beautiful! I loved their wardrobe too – their colors complimented the scenery in the best way possible. Nice work, fam ;-) Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Boston Wedding Photographer | Waterworks Museum {Amanda & Jason}
Posted on September 22, 2014

Amanda and Jason are a stupendously, awesomely, wonderfully unique couple. When Amanda reached out to discuss booking her wedding day, she mentioned that it would be non-traditional, and this made me {more than} a little giddy. But THEN I arrived at their sweet Boston apartment and saw their gorgeously awesome venue, and I became ridiculously enamored with e-v-e-r-y detail. You can be absolutely certain that any bride and groom who brews their own beer as a wedding favor is going to have some seriously good taste. Amanda and her bridesmaids spent the morning as any reasonable group of ladies would – watching Disney movies <3 Their beautiful hair and makeup were done by the talented Sydney Lauren Robinson of SLR Makeup {seriously – check her out}. When everyone was ready, we headed over to the wicked cool Waterworks Museum in Boston, where the ceremony took place. I loved the vintage-y feel of this place, and we had fun exploring the corners and stairwells to find places for some portraits. The reception followed at the trendy Bella Luna restaurant where dinner was a PIZZA BAR! So snazzy!! And delicious. It should also be noted that there were BOARD GAMES and, my personal favorite – cupcakes. On their invitations, Amanda and Jason referred to their reception as an after-wedding soirée – and it was just that. A relaxed, celebratory atmosphere where some awesome people spent time with the ones they love. How cool.

New Hampshire Dog Photographer | {Riley is ONE!}
Posted on June 10, 2014
Sooo, today is my lovely miss Riley’s FIRST birthday! To celebrate, we had a mini photo shoot, and she did SO well {proud parent moment}! She’s kind of like our child, and my computer is FULL of pictures of her that I haven’t found the time to share. So here are just a few of my favorites that I found while reminiscing over the past year, along with one of her birthday photos! I’m a tad bit sentimental. Just wait ’til I have kids {of the non-dog kind}. Ha.

New Hampshire Photographer | {Coming Out of the Woodwork}

Why hello there! I’m still here! When I started this blog, I thought it would be a piece of cake {chocolate, in particular} to keep up with. WELL, having a full-time job on top of all of this awesome photography stuff I have going on has made it more challenging than I anticipated! Perhaps when photography becomes my only job, the cake will come? Probably not, but anyway… I am here to post a few quick shots I’ve taken recently. With the arrival of Spring, I celebrated by purchasing a macro lens (Nikon calls it micro) that I’ve wanted for a super duper long time – Nikon’s 105mm 2.8. Quick little plug: it rules. It is even better than all of the outrageously stellar reviews that it gets. My personal favorite part – the creamiest of creamy bokeh that my heart adores. So these are some images shot with my new friend. I pinky-swear that I will be posting more wedding blogs shortly.

Connecticut Wedding Photographer | Farmington Gardens {Doug & Carrie}
Posted on April 15, 2014

Okay, so, let me start by saying – I am beyond thankful that I was the photographer blessed with the opportunity to work with this amazingly sweet couple. Carrie and Doug were so kind and genuine, and their wedding day was just perfect and everything they deserved. They got ready at the Farmington Inn in the quaint town of Farmington, Connecticut. The rest of the day took place just down the road, at the beautiful Farmington Gardens. The ceremony location was a photographer’s dream – a spectacular greenhouse flooded with glorious natural lighting. Oh and some lovely Chinese lanterns… a detail that I always love. The weather was just about perfect, too – very warm for this early spring day in March – which allowed us to get outside and take some portraits in the field just behind the venue. Then it was on to the celebration – a pretty sweet beer-themed reception. Each table was labeled with the names of some of Carrie and Doug’s favorite breweries. And to add to the awesome, this bride and groom surprised their guests with a wicked hilarious first dance… you’ll see ;-) Another surprise took place later, one that the bride didn’t even know about… a tear-jerking rendition of “Sweet Caroline” played on the acoustic guitar by her father, while the guests sang along – some with kazoos in hand. It was a stunning evening, and I was beyond thrilled to be a part of it. Thank you, ever so much, for inviting me to share in the love and fun of your wedding day, Carrie and Doug!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for stopping by!! xo, Courtney
